AFSAR

Since its inception in 2021, AFSAR (Asian Feminist Studio for Art and Research) has strived to bridge feminist discourses across contemporary art, academia, activism, and communities-based practices. Activated in Berlin and connected globally, the prefix Asia brings the localities of Asia to conceptualize a space for starting dialogues with diverse partners. The collective takes a fluid shape composed of 15 to 20 members and organizes hybrid programs that foster a decentralized virtual space for collective research.
