Melissa Antier

Melissa Antier (1999) is an artist of Mexican-Reunionese origins, she now lives in Berlin. Her practice combines painting, performance and textile installations. In 2022, she wrote her MA essay : ‘Alone with the laptop, from shitposting to introspective memes’. She clings to fragments of a heterogeneous life, mystifying regressive or domestic gestures through colourful symbolism. She recently participated in events showcasing emmerging talent, like 100% L'EXPO at La Vilette Paris and Salon ACME for Mexico's 2025 Art Week. She won the Biennal of the Americas Residency Award of this year.
