Moira Barrett
Moira Barrett is a German-American poet, artist and translator based in Berlin. Ranging from formal incantation to cursory notation in tone, Moira’s writing often deals with the laws of nature, power struggles and the contradictions of quotidian life. She also works with language visually by making collage prints on paper, textile, and mixed materials that she inscribes and expands with written texts and recorded voice works. In 2023, Moira Barrett's first solo exhibition “According to My Wishes” was held at the Kulturkirche Hürth. Her writing has appeared in “Stadtsprachen Magazin”, “Allium Journal of Poetry and Prose” and “[kon] Paper”, among others.
