Piero Salabè

Piero Salabè, born in Rome in 1970, has lived in Munich for thirty years. He is, among other things, translator and editor of “Edition Lyrik Kabinett”. The radical nature of Piero Salabè's poetry lies in the “laconicism of his poetry, which is fragmented into individual jewels” (Claudio Magris). His poems are characterised by a unique synergy of emotional expression and musicality; they are marked by a bold lyricism that incorporates texts and fragments from other languages - Spanish, German and English. He writes in German and Italian. His poetry collection “Das schöne Nichts” was published by Secession Verlag in 2024 and his novel “Mortacci mia (Meine verfluchten Toten)” by La nave di Teseo in 2025.
