Regina Schwarz

Regina Schwarz, born in 1951 in Beuel-Bonn, lives in Langenfeld/Rhineland. Her poems for children explore emotions such as joy, sadness, disappointment, and exuberance, capturing special moments in life. She focuses on everyday objects like the kitchen clock, paper clip, pencil, sharpener, and onion, offering surprising and fresh perspectives on them. Tongue twisters and playful language add fun and are an essential part of her work. Her latest publications are “Die Geschichte vom Nichts“ (Aracari Verlag, 2024) and “Meine Geheimschublade“ (Schweizerisches Jugendschriftenwerk, 2024). Awards: Stiftung Buchkunst Prize (2018) and Josef Guggenmos Prize for Children’s Poetry (2024)
