Rike Bolte
Rike Bolte, born in 1971 in Kassel, grew up in Spain and Germany, lives in Berlin and Santiago de Chile. She is a co-founder and curator of the Latinale Poetry Festival in Berlin, as well as a translator from Spanish and French. In 2024, she was awarded a scholarship from the Hessian Literature Council, and in 2025, she received the Reading Colombia award. Her most recent poetry publication is “sueño con quien conspire mejor“, and a selection of poems can be read at Altazor Chile 2025. For Bolte, writing is agitating. ‘Mover el esqueleto’, as they say in the Caribbean about dancing. „I write in Spanish because sometimes I can't speak German anymore. So writing is like breathing as a child. I would love to write in ink again, like some animals“.
