innen stadt celebrates its premiere during the poesiefestival berlin. For the first time, six of the best resident young poets have worked together to write a collective long-poem about Berlin, and to arrange it scenically for the stage.

In close cooperation with each other the authors produced a text: looped, remixed, sampled, with continual adjustments and changes. The city is explored, from Pleistocene to the present. In complex, fast and precise sentences innen stadt sketches the faces of the metropolis, outlining the attitude towards life in Berlin at the beginning of the 21st Century.

A multimedia staging under the direction of lunatiks production, including the video art of the artist network Phase 7 and the music of the composer Matthias Hermann, transmits the sound of the new generation of poets directly, precisely and intensely to the senses.
