Composers meet Poets meet Composers
For the Schiller Year 2005 the literaturWERKstatt berlin, together with the Konzerthaus Berlin, is initiating a composition project for contemporary poetry. Seven composers will set to music works from seven poets, which will then be premiered in the Konzerthaus Berlin on the 23rd June 2005.

A preparatory workshop on the 28/06/04 brings together German speaking poets and internationally renowned composers, and has the aim of making the artists and their representatives known to one another, as well as the discussion of aesthetic stimuli and problems. Poets will read from their work, and composers will present their work by means of extracts. The results of this workshop will lay the foundations for the assigned poetic and musical commissions.
