Australia in Berlin: in time for this year’s poesiefestival berlin appears, from the DuMont literature and art publishing house, the anthology ‘Hochzeit der Elemente’ / ‘Marriage of the Elements’, containing the results of the German-Australian ‘VERSschmuggel’, which took place during the poesiefestival berlin 2003. At the book premiere will perform, among others, the Australian poets Samuel Wagan Watson and Peter Skrzynecki, as well as the German poet Joachim Sartorius. The publisher and aficionado of Australian literature Ivor Indyk presents the book, and speaks about modern day Australian poetry. ‘Hochzeit der Elemente’ will also be placed in the library of Café Tucher, in which guests can bring their own books to swap for another.
