Discussion and performance with Eugen Gomringer, Valeri Scherstjanoi, Dmitry Bulatov, Sergej Birjukov, Danil Akimov and Hartmut Andryczuk

Moderation: Friedrich W. Block

‘JAJA’: Eugen Gomringer, old-master of concrete poetry, and the artist Hartmut Andryczuk meet with ‘DADA’: the scribentic sound-poet Valeri Scherstjanoi; Dmitry Bulatov, proponent of visual and sound poetry; and Sergej Birjukov, poet and literary critic from Tambov. Performance and discussion will throw light on the development of experimental poetry and also the poetic dialogue between East and West, which hasn’t only existed since the fall of the wall.

Project direction: Matthias Weichelt

An event from the literaturWERKstatt berlin, in cooperation with the ‘Brandenburger Tor’ Foundation.
